Promote Your Website with SEO to Get High Search Engine Rankings!
This is the Maui SEO Expert WEBSITE PROMOTION page.
Website Promotion is the most significant element of Search Engine Optimization in terms of the amount of effort you must put in to ensure success and the results you get as a return on this investment.
Without off-site SEO to promote your website your business will not make money online.
Budget Wisely and Spend More On Site Promotion
If you only spend money on one aspect of your online business then spend it on promoting your website.
Unless your site is so badly designed or over SEO’d so that Google cannot index it or refuses to rank it, then investing your cash into website promotion is going to give you the biggest return on your investment. The biggest bang for your buck! Website promotion is often referred to as Off-site SEO and unfortunately this is can be a little confusing.
The off-site part of the description is fair enough as it relates to things that happen away from your website and actually take place on or via the websites of others. But it is the search engine optimization or SEO part that promotes confusion.
SEO suggests that you are doing something related to optimization when in fact what is required and what is effective is link building! I guess this is just terminology, but for me this is not optimization in the real sense and I guess it relates better to improving your website’s status in the eyes of Google and the other search engines. So for me Website Promotion is a much better term to use!
Without Effective Promotion Your Site Is Doomed
Unfortunately the fact that even if you do your SEO optimization, keyword research and build a good SEO designed website, it means absolutely nothing if you don’t promote your website effectively as well. Building a website and ignoring promotion is like organizing a big concert and forgetting to sell the tickets – no one will come!
Put your brand new site on the web and then expecting visitors, sales and income to just materialize is not going to happen any day soon – you must promote your online business to the right audience that will then be attracted to your site and buy your products or services.
You need to target people who want to buy from you and this is one of the secrets of SEO – just getting traffic can be easy, but actually getting the traffic that includes potential customers that will buy from your website is a whole new skill set that not many possess or even realize is necessary. Converting traffic into sales is the hardest part of internet marketing and it is sadly often overlooked.
How Will New Customers Find Your Website?
When these potential buyers use Google, or another search engine, to look for a product or service that you are selling, you need your website to appear at the top of the listings that Google returns after the searcher has entered their search term and clicked Search.
For the searcher to see your site in the results and click through to it, it needs to be on the first page of the results (as this is what is presented to the searcher first) and it needs to be on the top half of the page, which is visible in the searcher’s browser window (above the fold!).
Your Position in the Search Engine Pages is Key!
If your site is not returned so that it is displayed in the top 5 or so positions then it has been statistically proven that it is unlikely that a search engine user will click through to your site.
So for success your site needs to be in positions 1 to 5 on page one of Google – anything less will not get you any significant visitor traffic – this is a fact!
Only Google Really Matters
The other search engines such as Yahoo and MSN can also bring traffic to your site and it is usually much easier to get your site ranked highly in their listings. However Google is where the money is because they are so much bigger than these two combined.
And by that I mean that many many more people use Google than all the other search engines put together, so it’s just common business sense to focus on Google and then any extra traffic you get from the others is a bonus.
Website Promotion Can Get You What You Want
The good news is that with website promotion these positions in the search results are attainable and depending on the competition from other websites in the same line of business this may be easy or more difficult to do. If competing websites owners are using effective SEO on their sites then the task will be much harder, but if they are not, then even ranking number one may be easy.
Note that part of the initial SEO analysis undertaken before you select your primary keywords will tell you how strong the competition will be and could effect the actual keywords you choose to target.
